Air Force to buy spare parts for new planes
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) plans to purchase P4.2-million worth of spare parts for the communication, navigation and environmental systems of its newly acquired aircraft.
The parts would ensure the continuous operation of the PAF’s new Airbus Military C-295, a medium transport plane the Air Force took delivery of last March.
The PAF has a budget of P4,283,431.59 for the parts, according to its bids and awards committee (BAC).
Bid documents may be purchased for a nonrefundable fee of P5,000 at the PAF Finance Center at Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.
The BAC said the prebid conference will be held on Sept. 3 at 9 a.m. at the PAF Procurement Center at Villamor.
Bid documents have been available since Aug. 28. They may be purchased up to Sept. 16 at the BAC secretariat at the procurement center. Submission and opening of bids will be on Sept. 17 at 9 a.m. at the procurement center conference room.
