Pork scam accused Dangwa pre-trial deferred to next year
The pre-trial of former Benguet Rep. Samuel Dangwa was deferred to next year with the court calendar full until March 2016.
Dangwa’s scheduled pre-trial for malversation and graft over the pork barrel scam on Thursday was canceled because two of his co-accused were absent for the hearing.
Third Division Clerk of Court Atty. Dennis Pulma said Dangwa would have to wait until next year because the court calendar has been filled.
The court set his preliminary conferences on December 2015, as well as on January, February, and March 2016.
During the pre-trial, both parties would prepare for the conduct of the trial proper, including the marking of exhibits, stipulation of facts, identification of issues, and identification of the number of dates each party needs for presentation of evidence.
