SUBIC, Zambales – Rescuers are searching for an 18-year-old man who disappeared on Saturday afternoon while helping to pull one of several dredge floater assemblies to shore in Sto. Rosario village in Iba town.

While large waves battered their village’s coastline due to bad weather, Sto. Rosario residents said Alim Adaoag was last seen with other men at about 3 p.m. They were dragging one of the devices which fishermen retrieved from the sea last week.

Lyn de Jesus, a resident, said Adaoag could have been swept away by large waves and drowned, since Typhoon Ineng had brought winds and rain to parts of northern Luzon this weekend.

On Friday, fishermen rushed to remove from their village’s shoreline the dredge floater assembly, which they feared that huge waves will push and thus hit their houses.
