Several roads in the Cordillera and Cagayan regions have been closed due to floods and slides, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Friday.

In a situational report, the roads that are not passable to all types of vehicles include:

At least 377 persons were pre-emptively evacuated in Brgy. Caroan, Gonzaga; Brgy. Balatubat, Calayan; and Brgy. Cimbaluca, Sta. Teresita in Cagayan due to the typhoon, the NDRRMC said.

Pre-emptive evacuation is ongoing in Baguio City, Benguet province, and Kalinga due to continuous rains in the past 24 hours.

Sta. Ana in Cagayan, Baguio City, and areas in Benguet and Mt. Province have also been experiencing power interruption.

Although Ineng is not expected to make landfall, it will be closest to Batanes by Friday afternoon. Storm signals were raised in several parts of Northern Luzon. Frances Mangosing/JE
