ILOILO CITY, Philippines—A Hotel and Restaurant Management student stabbed and killed a classmate inside their classroom on Thursday morning, claiming he had enough of the victim’s bullying.
Jay Mark Barlan, 21, was about to get inside the classroom at Cabalum Western College along F. Caram Avenue here about 8 a.m. when he was stabbed by Allison Hecita, 21.
Both Barlan, of San Enrique town in Iloilo, and Hecita, of Molo District in Iloilo City, are first year HRM students in Cabalum Western College.
According to Senior Inspector Jojo Tabaloc, Police Precint 1 chief, Hecita said he stabbed the victim because he was tired of Barlan’s constant bullying.

Hecita surrendered to the school security guard and was turned over to the Police Precinct 1 where he was detained pending the filing of criminal charges. Joel Franco, Inquirer Visayas
