International race car driver Marlon Stockinger spent part of his recent visit to the country at The Mind Museum with young fans from the Anima Christi Center.
Stockinger, the Filipino-Swiss Lotus F1 junior driver, was in the Philippines for a series of events including Globe’s Slipstream 2.0, where he entertained local racing fans by staging a thrilling driving exhibition.
Stockinger then toured The Mind Museum with students of Anima Christi, which provides therapy and interventions for children with learning challenges.
Before going on the tour, Stockinger first led the students on a pit walk around the Bonifacio Global City grounds where he did his driving exhibition and showed them his race car.
Stockinger was joined by Globe Telecom senior adviser for consumer business Dan Horan at the museum’s educational hall, which features numerous exhibits that help foster understanding of Science.
The race car driver told the kids it was inspiring to see their excited faces as they looked forward to a day of exploring the museum.
The Anima Christi Center kids were also treated to lunch and snacks. They played in the activity area and enjoyed a mascot show courtesy of Ban Kee Trading.
Stockinger, currently the only Filipino international race car driver, is the first Filipino to win a formula race in Europe, topping the Monaco GP3 series in 2012. He currently drives for the Lotus F1 team.
