Korean found dead in Ermita condo

/ 12:31 AM August 12, 2015

A Korean national was found dead on Monday in his condominium unit in Ermita, Manila, where he apparently took his own life.

The police said 60-year-old Yangkyu Song was found hanged and that a toppled chair and two “suicide letters” were also found near his body in his unit at Manila Executive Regency on Bocobo Street.

Security cameras in the condo last had a recording of Song’s movements on the afternoon of Aug. 3, according to the administration office.

Other Manila Regency tenants started complaining of a foul smell coming from the victim’s unit Monday morning. The body was later discovered by building personnel and a village watchman who were alerted to open the unit.–Andronico del Rosario
