SARRAT, Ilocos Norte – A 19-year-old woman was found dead along a road in Barangay 22 in this town on Tuesday.
Police said the victim, Jemima Kezia Mata Andres, a senior student of the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) in Batac City, was found by residents near a site of a road-widening project at past 5 a.m.
Investigators said Andres had a wound in her head.
Her father, Reynaldo, an employee of MMSU’s communication and media relations office, said his daughter asked permission to stay with friends on Monday night to finish a school project.
