SEVEN Talisay City policemen were given commendations for the arrest of two suspects in Monday’s robbery where Provincial Board Member Julian “Teban” Daan was held up at home.
Chief Insp. Eddie Recamara (officer in charge of TCPO), Insp. Hugo Rio Ipong, Insp. Ricardo Echavez, PO3 Mikie Espina, PO3 Rey Bucao, PO3 Benedicto Lasque and PO2 Roy Lofranco received their certificates of recognition from Cebu provincial chief Patrocinio Comendador Jr.
Daan attended the ceremony and promised to donate one computer set to the police station.
Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia also commended the Talisay police.
Daan was robbed at knifepoint inside his house in barangay Tabunok, Talisay.
Jewelry worth at least P1 million was taken from a steel cabinet.
