Five mild tremors shook Davao del Norte Saturday night but caused no damage, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology (Phivolcs) said.
The first and strongest quake which measured magnitude 4.6 struck at 11:17 p.m. at 28 kilometers north of Santo Tomas town at depth of 8 kilometers.
It was felt at Intensity IV in Santo Tomas and Intensity III in Davao City.
A Phivolcs bulletin said no aftershocks were expected but at least four other smaller quakes that measured from magnitude to 3.2 to 3.7 were recorded in the area up to 8:52 a.m., Sunday.
No damage was expected. CB
