Makati City exec shot dead
MANILA, Philippines — An official of Makati City’s social welfare department was shot dead by motorcycle-riding suspects Wednesday morning, a police spokesman said.
Philippine National Police spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. identified the fatality as DSWD Assistant Chief Mila Dumaguit, 52.
He stated that Dumaguit was on board an L-300 van (SHU-989) at the corner of Osmena and Tanay Streets in Valenzuela village, Makati City at around 6:45 a.m. when the suspects attacked.
The incident happened at the corner of Osmena and Tanay Streets, Barangay (village) Valenzuela.
Dumaguit and the driver, Jun del Pilar, were rushed to a nearby hospital but the official was declared dead on arrival, said Cruz.
Del Pilar was in critical condition and was being treated for injuries, added the spokesman. Tina Santos
