Northern Luzon can expect warmer weather due to a ridge of high pressure that is affecting that portion of the country, the weather bureau said Tuesday.

Nonetheless, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will continue to prevail over the entire archipelago, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Continuous rain spawned by the southwest monsoon (habagat) drenched Northern Luzon in recent days and submerged some 190 barangays (villages) in flood water.

Pagasa said moderate to strong winds from the east moving to the southeast would prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters would be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the south blowing to the southeast resulting in slight to moderate seas.
