At least 7 dead, 35 arrested in drug raids in Davao City
DAVAO CITY—At least seven people were reportedly killed during simultaneous drug raids conducted by authorities in various areas here early Wednesday.
The Davao City Police Office has not issued any official statement yet but it was also learned that the raiders rescued a 16-year-old girl from one of the 35 arrested suspects.
At least 13 firearms were also seized along with some 200 grams of “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride).
This was not the first time that suspected drug pushers were killed during anti-drugs raid here.
In February last year, seven persons were also killed and 35 others, including a South Korean, were arrested when government agents swopped down on a suspected drug haven in Barangay Ilang in Tibungco district here.
