The Quezon City police are now hunting down the last companions of an 86-year-old man found brutally killed in an apartelle in NovalichesSaturday morning.
Barangay Sto. Cristo widower Isidro Perez, 86, was found dead at 8:20 a.m., a fan knife stuck on his neck and with multiple stab wounds all over his body, three hours after checking in with an unidentified woman at the Sunrise Lagro apartelle on Quirino Highway at Barangay Pasong Putik.
According to a report from the case investigator, SPO1 Joselito Gagaza, of the Quezon City Police District Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit, witnesses narrated that minutes after Perez and his companion checked in, a man claiming to be his son demanded to join the couple in their room.
The unidentified man had shown apartelle staff a text message asking him to head to the specific room. The staff simply asked the man to pay an “extra person charge” and let him through, Gagaza said.
At around 6 a.m., Perez’ female companion headed out, claiming to be going out to buy food, Gagaza said quoting the apartelle staff. The unidentified man who had claimed to be Perez’ son followed her out a few minutes after.
As Perez’ three-hour stay was about to expire, a room boy knocked on his door to wake him up, but received no response. A duplicate key was used to open the locked door, and they found Perez dead on the bloodied bed.
