Binay camp: Aquino allies ‘in panic’
THE camp of Vice President Jejomar Binay slammed presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda and Interior Secretary Mar Roxas for their “arrogant and shrill” remarks against Binay’s “legitimate comments” against the Aquino administration.
Binay’s media affairs head Joey Salgado said that they could detect sings of panic in the attacks against the vice president.
“What we have been getting instead from Secretaries Roxas and Lacierda are arrogant and often shrill remarks that barely address the issues. Apparently they believe that shouting down legitimate comments will compensate for the absence of a credible defense for being manhid at palpak,” Salgado said.
He said that while both administration allies challenged Binay to face his graft case before the Ombudsman, the Ombudsman “is still gathering evidence and the nature of the suspension is preventive.”
Salgado said that both administration officials are yet to answer the tirades hurled by Binay: Lacierda is allegedly mum on Binay’s comments on the lack of jobs under the Aquino administration and the overburdened MRT system; while Roxas is yet to address the alleged irregularities in the MRT when he was still transportation secretary.

Baka totoo ang report na hindi lang sa Pulse Asia at sa SWS tumaas ang trust and satisfaction ratings ni VP Binay kundi maging sa internal presidential survey ng administrasyon,” he added.
(Maybe there is truth in rumors that the trust and satisfaction ratings of the vice president not only went up in the Pulse Asia and Social Weather Stations surveys but also in the internal presidential surveys of the administration.)
