PAL cancels 2 flights due to ‘Egay’
TWO flights of Philippine Airlines (PAL) were canceled on Monday due to bad weather caused by tropical storm “Egay” (international name: Linfa).
In an advisory posted on its official Facebook page, the flagship carrier said that flight PR2196 from Manila to Laoag and flight PR2197 from Laoag to Manila have been canceled “due to the prevailing weather condition today (Monday).”
“Passengers of these canceled flights will be rebooked on the next available flights to and from Laoag once weather clears,” PAL said.
Despite Egay’s slight weakening at midday Monday, the state weather bureau said rains in Metro Manila and nearby provinces were being caused by the southwest monsoon enhanced by the tropical storm.
