Lacson: No to vice presidency
Former Senator Panfilo Lacson has rejected the idea of running for vice president in 2016, saying his options were either to run for president or return to the Senate.
“Out of consideration sa akin yung pagtakbo ng vice. Ang pagpipilian ko na lang ay tumakbo sa pinakamataas na position. Kung hindi baka babalik na lang ako sa Senate,” Lacson said in a radio interview over the weekend.
“Wala sa picture (ang pagtakbo as vice president),” he added.
However, Lacson said he had not made up his mind whether he would run for president or senator. He said he had until October, the scheduled filing of certificate of candidacy, to decide.
The former senator earlier said that he was open to run for president in 2016.
