Victim’s cry for help leads cops to 3 robbers

/ 12:49 AM July 05, 2015

The police caught three men who had just robbed bus passengers in Quezon City on Friday night after one of their victims cried for help.

Raymund Tecson, 39, Rodelio Lovistas, 43 and Harris Ramos, 22, were arrested at the corner of West Avenue and Edsa shortly after 10 p.m., after policemen on patrol in the area were alerted to the holdup incident.

This was after Arnold Rodriguez screamed for help after the suspects got off the bus. Rodriguez later told the police that the robbers pointed a knife at him and took his cell phone worth P8,000 and his wallet which had P2,000 in it, case investigator PO2 Julius Balbuena said in an interview.

The suspects, all residents of Barangay Batasan Hills in Quezon City, did not resist arrest.
