Cloudy skies, thunderstorms over southern Mindanao due to ITCZ

Palawan and Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms on Tuesday, the state weather bureau said.

The intertropical convergence zone is currently affecting Southern Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Isolated thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the rest of the country will prevail, it added.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas. Winds coming from the south to southeast will prevail over Mindanao, Pagasa said.

The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate, it added.

The hottest temperature in Metro Manila was at 35 degrees Celsius at 12 noon.
