Twist in Barrameda case surprises family

The sister of Ruby Rose Barrameda Sunday said she and her family have yet to see a copy of the judge’s order granting the petition for bail of some of the accused in her sister’s murder.

However, the news was certainly disheartening for Rochelle Barrameda and her parents as the day that they learned about it—June 10—was also the day Ruby Rose’s body was found in a drum off the waters of Navotas City in 2009. This was two years after she went missing following a custody battle with her husband over their daughters.

In a phone interview on Sunday, Rochelle said her father was set to go to the Department of Justice today to get a copy of the resolution issued by Branch 170 Judge Zaldy Docena of the Malabon Regional Trial Court.

Charged with Ruby Rose’s murder were her husband Manuel Jimenez III; her father-in-law Manuel Jimenez Jr. and her father-in-law’s brother, Lope Jimenez. Kristine Felisse Mangunay
