A magnitude-3.4 earthquake jolted Batanes province on Friday afternoon, state seismologists said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake occurred 67 kilometers southwest of Sabtang island at 1:57 p.m.
Phivolcs said the tectonic quake had a depth of 33 kilometers.
No damage was reported and no aftershocks were expected, it said. NC/RC
