Former Senator Panfilo Lacson is urging the public not to vote for “hypocrite” politicians who would not admit that their “posturing” in media was premature campaigning.
Lacson admitted the he was one of those “posturing” for the 2016 elections, but he already said he might run for either president or senator next year.

“Ang hirap sa katulad namin yung mga namumustura. Well, everybody is posturing naman talage e,” (What’s difficult about people like us are those posturing. Well, everybody is really posturing)
he said in an interview over ABS-CBN News Channel’s “Beyond Politics” Tuesday night.
Lacson added, “Yung iba nagde-deny na hindi nagpe-premature campaigning. Don’t vote for her or him because he or she is a hypocrite,” (Some deny that they are campaigning prematurely. Don’t vote for her or him because he or she is a hypocrite)
“Let’s face it, everybody’s campaigning early. That’s why there are sorties, there are political ads. What do these mean?” he said.
“If you do not expose yourself, maiiwan ka sa kangkungan,” (you will be left behind) the former senator and chief of the Philippine National Police said.
He explained: “That’s the reason why we see somebody from the south going to the north, somebody from Metro Manila going south, to talk to people to say their advocacies. If that’s not premature campaigning, I don’t know what is.”
Lacson stressed that politicians who deny that they are campaigning prematurely don’t deserve votes.
“I will not vote for them because that (denial) is mental dishonesty,” he said.
