Metro Manila faces feverish temperatures Tuesday – Pagasa
Metro Manilans may feel feverish on Tuesday as the weather bureau expects the heat index to reach 40.1 degrees Celsius in the National Capital Region.
Heat index refers to the temperature as felt or perceived by people. It is affected by the actual heat of the environment as well as other factors that may cause people to feel hotter.
Meanwhile, a ridge of a high pressure area is affecting Northern Luzon, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening will be experienced over the entire archipelago,” the weather bureau said.
The highest temperature in Metro Manila on Monday was at 36 degrees Celsius at 3 p.m.
