WATCH: Tough-talking Hizzoner Duterte shows off dance moves
WITH his supporters egging him to run for president in the 2016 elections and human rights groups asking him to be investigated due to his alleged ties with the infamous “Davao Death Squad,” Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte still has time to shake it all off and have some fun.
In an eight-second video with Cebuano-speaking Americans from the hit YouTube channel “Hey Joe Show,” the tough-talking Davao City chief executive is seen dancing with the group to the tune of the “Budots” song.
The “Hey Joe Show” is composed of Connor, Davis, Jake, Tylan and Sumner who have become online sensations of their funny skits.
According to an Inquirer report, the five Americans said that they learned speaking Cebuano because they were missionaries in various parts of Visayas for the past two years.
Their Facebook page has now reached more than 200,000 likes.
On the other hand, Duterte came under fire after Human Rights Watch urged the Philippines to launch an investigation on his alleged ties with DDS, a group that has been allegedly responsible for the killing about 1,000 suspected criminals in Davao City since 1988.
Duterte admitted his alleged ties with DDS in a local television show but later retracted his statement.
The Davao City mayor is also enjoying a surge of support from Filipinos asking him to run for president.
According to the most recent Social Weather Stations survey, Duterte is tied with administration bet Mar Roxas in third place, trailing after Vice President Jejomar Binay and Senator Grace Poe who are in first and second places, respectively. Aries J. Hegina/AC
