Public school teacher, 3 others caught using shabu; ‘drug pusher’ nabbed in Cebu

A SUSPECTED drug pusher and four alleged drug users — including a public school teacher – were arrested in a police buy-bust operation on Tuesday afternoon in Badian town, 97.6 kilometers southwest of here.

Senior Supt. Noel Gillamac, police provincial director, identified the teacher as Reynante Alinabon, reportedly the teacher-in-charge of Santicon Elementary School.

The members of the provincial police’s Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (PAIDSOTG) and the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) conducted a buy-bust operation against alleged drug pusher, Niño James Pondoc, following a two-week surveillance.

Pondoc was arrested about 1:30 p.m. after he personally received P500 for the shabu he handed to an undercover policeman.

Seized from Pondoc were ca total of 13 grams of shabu in packets worth P153,400, based on the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) estimate.

But Gillamac, in text message said, four other persons were arrested after they were caught sniffing shabu in the area.

They were Alinabon, 40; Salvador Pallero Sr., 42; Isagani Bontilao and Baltazar Bontilao.

All the five suspects are now under the custody of PIB pending the filing of charges against them on Wednesday. SFM
