A TROUGH or extension of a low-pressure area is affecting extreme northern Luzon on Tuesday, the state weather bureau said.

“Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will prevail over the islands of Batanes, Calayan and Babuyan, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

In Metro Manila and the rest of the country, there will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

The highest temperature in Metro Manila on Tuesday was at 35.1 degrees Celsius at 2 p.m.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the south to southwest will prevail over northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough, Pagasa said.

Light to moderate winds coming from the southwest to south will prevail over the rest of the country with slight to moderate seas. AC
