THE mother who posted on Facebook the photos of the her naked child on a leash and being treated like a dog wants to issue a public apology, Social Welfare Secretary Corazon “Dinky” Soliman said over Radyo Inquirer.
“Sinabi ng nanay na magpa-public apology sya. Hindi sapat ang public apology (The mother said she would issue a public apology. [But] a public apology is not enough),” Soliman said.
Soliman said they would check on the mental health of the mother.

The child’s family hails from Bataan. Soliman said the mother is a housewife, while the husband has a stable job.
“Gagawan namin ng assessment yung nanay para sigurado tayo kung may kakayahan pa syang mag-alaga ng anak nya (We will assess the mother to determine if she is still capable of taking care of her child),” Soliman said.
Soliman explained that what the mother has posted on Facebook is not a joke.
“People in their right state of mind will not do that,” she said.
Soliman also appealed to the public to stop sharing the photo of the child.
“Wag na sana nating ipakalat ang mga ganung bagay dahil ang bata maaaring makita nya yun pag lumaki na sya,” Soliman said.
She said they would take custody of the kid if the parents are not capable of taking care of the child. AC
