MORE than experience and competence,  what the country  needs is an honest leader,  Senator Grace Poe said on Monday.

Poe was reacting to Vice President Jejomar Binay, who said Sunday that it would be risky to entrust the next government to those without experience and competence.

“Alam mo totoo tama naman sya, kailangang may karanasan at kakayanan pero higit sa lahat, katapatan,” she said when sought for comment on Monday.

Asked if she thinks Binay did not possess the  quality  of an honest  leader,  Poe  simply pointed to  corruption allegations that he said the Vice President  himself  has yet to explain.

Poe added. AC
