The police in Sungai Kunjang, Samarinda, East Kalimantan, have arrested a father who has allegedly killed four of his six children and has raped his daughter.

The four children were killed while the daughter had been raped many times since 2014, the police said.

Sadriansyah admitted to the police that he had killed his four children. The first child’s murder took place in 1997 and a year later he killed his second child.

The four children were killed when they were between two months and one year old.

Sungai Kunjang Police chief Comr. Siswantoro said the murders came to light after the police received information from the suspect’s 15-year-old daughter, who could no longer endure her father’s brutality.

“From the rape victim’s information, we were able to uncover the murder of the four children and reveal that the suspect had continually raped his third daughter since 2014,” he said as quoted by kompas.com.

Siswantoro said the suspect’s wife knew of her husband’s actions but had declined to report it because she had been threatened with death if she did.

“The suspect’s neighbors were not suspicious of him because his children were considered to have died naturally. According to the suspect’s confession, three children were killed by pressing a pillow to their face while the fourth child was killed by drowning,” he said.
