California man sentenced to jail after killing poodle
Prosecutors say Jason Vaca of Baldwin Park was sentenced Tuesday after pleading no contest to a felony count of animal cruelty. He also must attend anger management and animal cruelty classes.
In addition, Vaca can’t own any animal for 10 years.
He was arrested in March of last year after Baldwin Park police answering an emergency services call found Vaca with blood on his clothes and blood in the house.
The officers found Vaca’s poodle, Butters, dead in the backyard.
