With the loss, SHS-AdC ended the elimination round at second place with four points off one win, one draw and one loss.

Also earning four points was the University of San Jose Recoletos (USJ-R), which edged University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF), 4-3, in their final elimination match yesterday.

Despite having the same standings as SHS-AdC, USJ-R was relegated to third by virtue of both team’s goal difference. SHS-AdC had a GD of 3, while USJ-R had -12.

USPF, on the other hand, is at the cellar with no wins to show.

All teams, however, advanced to the semifinals next Saturday with DBTC facing bottom dweller USPF and SHS-AdC facing USJ-R.

Meanwhile, today’s final elimination matches in the collegiate division will be exciting as it presents various scenarios.

The first match will see USPF trying to solidify its hold of the top as it faces University of the Visayas (UV), which is fighting for survival in the tournament.

Second match will see the defending champions University of Cebu (UC) also clutching at straws as it goes up against University of San Carlos (USC).

Should USPF win, it will go into the semifinals being the elimination round leader and will boot out UV in the process.

UC, on the other hand, will hoping for UV to lose as they also face elimination should they lose against USC.

In the advent that UC will lose to USC, it will still have a chance to enter the semis by virtue of its goal difference. But this  is if UV will lose against USPF.
