Number coding scheme lifted on Labor Day

MANILA, Philippines–The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is lifting the number coding scheme in Metro Manila on Friday, Labor Day.

The MMDA, in an advisory, said the number coding scheme is suspended in Metro Manila including Makati and Las Piñas cities.

Under the scheme, vehicles with plate numbers ending in 0 and 9 are not allowed in major thoroughfares from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Friday.–NC
