MRT repair continues Saturday night

MANILA, Philippines—Repair on the North Avenue-Shaw Boulevard segment of the Metro Rail Transit 3 will continue well into the night, a spokesman for the MRT3 said Saturday.

Only half of the MRT3 line, from Taft Avenue Station to Shaw Boulevard Station, will be operational as there were still glitches with their signalling system for the other half of the line, said MRT3 spokesperson Lawyer Hernando Cabrera.

He however said that their technicians would be doing their best to restore full line operations by Sunday morning.

MRT3 operations bogged down Saturday morning after its North Avenue Station experienced power failure. Half-line operations however resumed around 3:30 p.m.
