Grandfather allegedly beats up teenager for using his computer

KAJANG—A 16-year-old teenager is seriously injured after he was allegedly beaten up by his grandfather for using his computer without permission.

In the Sunday incident, Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Ab Rashid Ab Wahab said the boy entered his 70-year-old his grandfather’s room at their house in Cheras Jaya to use the computer.

“His grandfather, who earlier warned him against using the computer without permission, then started beating him.

“His mother witnessed the incident, but did nothing,” he said.

According to ACP Ab Rashid, the boy suffered injuries to his back and neck.

“He took eight painkillers before going to Hospital Kajang for treatment. He received three stitches above his eyebrow.

“A doctor at the hospital lodged a police report,” ACP Ab Rashid added.

The case is investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for intentionally causing hurt with a dangerous weapon.
