/ 05:13 PM October 01, 2011

MANILA, Philippines—Operations of the Philippine National Railways (PNR) for stations beyond Bicutan have resumed after hours of interruption due to a hole found along its track, a PNR officer said Saturday.

Reynaldo Recede, train dispatcher in charge, said the hole found was dug by a water service provider years ago which softened up and sank due to the continuous rains brought about by typhoon Quiel (international name Nalgae).

The train operations stopped at around 10:20 a.m. and resumed at 1:49 p.m.
