Baby falls to death from babysitter’s flat
KAJANG, Malaysia — A couple waited nine years for a baby and were blessed with a little boy. Their joy lasted a mere three months.
Tragedy struck when the baby died after falling from the second floor of a flat along with a six-year-old girl.
Both the baby and the girl were found sprawled on the ground floor of the Pangsapuri Kenanga flat in Taman Sri Kantan here.

She frantically searched for the two and her worst nightmare came true when she discovered that the girl and the baby had fallen to the ground floor.
Both victims were immediately rushed to the Kajang Hospital.
Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Ab Rashid Ab Wahad said it was believed that the two might have slipped through a window in the master bedroom.
“Preliminary investigations suggested that the girl might have climbed up on the baby cot to open the window.
“She might also have been carrying the baby when opening the window and slipped,” he said.
He added that the girl suffered a broken spine and hip while the infant died at about 4pm, some 12 hours after the fall.
“The case is being investigated under Section 33 of the Child Act 2001 for negligence,” he said.
A neighbor, who refused to be named, said she only realized that something had occurred when she heard loud screams.
“I never could have imagined something that horrible could happen. I am really sad for the family,” she said.
