MANILA, Philippines—Police have charged a 46-year-old man after he was caught having sex with a cow in Silang town, Cavite province, on Tuesday.
A television report said the man was charged on Thursday with violation of Republic Act No. 10631 or Animal Welfare Act and Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law at the provincial fiscal’s office in Imus City.

The report said the perpetrator was likely high on drugs when he committed the sexual act.
It added that it was not the first time that the suspect had sex with the cow.
The man, however, denied the accusations against him.
Rustico Sarno, the owner of the animal, earlier reported to village authorities that his cow went missing shortly after he left it to graze.
Police earlier said that the pregnant cow would undergo a medical examination.
