MANILA, Philippines—On Feb. 28, Baguio City blossomed with vibrant performances during the Street Dancing Competition and the Grand Float Parade in celebration of the 20th Panagbenga Festival.
Sixteen competing floats were adorned with colorful flowers as 19 sets of dancers performed, much to the delight of tourists who trooped to the City of Pines.
Tens of thousands of revelers filled the streets of the city as they tried to get a glimpse and taste of the Cordillera’s culture and creativity.
The theme of this year’s Panagbenga was “Across 20 Years of Blossoming Together.”
The festival, which started in 1995, continues to draw millions of local and foreign tourists. NC
