MANILA, Philippines—The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Friday warned taxi drivers that they would be fined with P5,000 should they refuse to abide by the reduced taxi flag-down rate.

LTFRB Chair Winston Ginez said a hefty P5,000 fine for the first offense awaited taxi drivers who would violate the new flag-down rate.

The LTFRB on Friday announced a P10-rollback in the flag-down rate for taxis nationwide.
