The Edsa Shrine at the corner of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue and Ortigas Avenue in Quezon City is formally known as the Shrine of Mary, Queen of Peace (Our Lady of Edsa). It was established on Dec. 15, 1989, and served as a memorial to the peaceful 1986 People Power Revolution. It also served witness to the second People Power in January 2001. A Holy Ground marker was inaugurated at the shrine on Feb. 25, 2001, during the 15th anniversary of the first People Power. Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
