Father of Jesse Robredo dies at 91
NAGA CITY, Philippines—Jose Robredo, father of late Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse M. Robredo, passed away at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday night, said Naga City Councilor Elizabeth Lavadia, a friend and neighbor of the Robredo family.
Jose was 91 years old.
He died without knowing that his son Jesse, also a former mayor of this city, died in a plane crash in 2012, according to Lavadia.

Jose, blinded by a degenerative eye illness, had been bedridden for years. He died peacefully at the NICC Doctors Hospital here, she said.
