Red Cross: 277 minor incidents, 3 injuries in Luneta

MANILA, Philippines–The Philippine Red Cross has reported a total of 277 minor incidents and three injuries in Luneta Park where Pope Francis will celebrate the concluding Mass of his five-day visit to the Philippines.

As of 6 a.m., based on the report of its first aid station near the Lapu-lapu Monument, a total of 123 people were given assistance due to dizziness, hypothermia and fainting while 154 people had their blood pressures checked.

Three people suffered injuries–two were taken to Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center while one was taken to another Red Cross station in Intramuros.

The Red Cross has recorded a total of 286 patients. The report came after the scuffle along Quirino Grandstand. But it did not indicate how many of the injuries were due to the scuffle.
