‘Amang’ slightly intensifies as it approaches Samar provinces

MANILA, Philippines—It looks like this ‘Amang’ would rain on the Holy Father’s parade.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, Tropical Storm “Amang” intensified with maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour and gusts of 100 kph.

“Amang” was last spotted at 10 pm 330 km east of Borongan, Eastern Samar.
