MANILA, Philippines—A black luggage left unattended along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue – Guadalupe in Makati City, which turned out to contain assorted clothes, caused a scare and heavy traffic on Friday afternoon.
At 3:15 p.m., the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority posted on Twitter that members of the Makati Police came to the area to inspect the bag abandoned at a loading bay on the northbound lane of EDSA-Guadalupe.

After the Makati Police’s bomb squad checked the contents of the luggage, media reports said they discovered that it only contained clothes.
The MMDA said traffic near the area of the incident has eased to moderate as of as of 4:00 p.m.
In November 2014, bomb threat also hit a busy intersection in the same city after a suitcase, which turned out to contain tools, was abandoned on the corner of Makati and Paseo de Roxas avenues.
