MANILA, Philippines – A 5.4-magnitude earthquake shook Batangas and nearby provinces on Wednesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The earthquake, with a depth of 108 kilometers, occurred at 5:26 p.m. Its epicenter was located 108 kilometers southwest of Calatagan, Batangas.
Phivolcs said the quake was felt at Intensity IV in Tagaytay City and Intensity III in Quezon City, Parañaque City, Calatagan and Bauan in Batangas, Batangas City, Taguig City, Pasay City, and Bacoor in Cavite.
Netizens on Twitter said the quake was felt in different parts of Metro Manila.
