Makati suspends work, lifts number coding

MANILA, Philippines – Makati City hall has called off operations Tuesday morning due to strong winds and heavy rains brought by Typhoon “Pedring”.

Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay decided to suspend work of city hall employees and lift the number coding scheme within the city’s financial district, according to his spokesman Joey Salgado.

In a text message, Salgado said the mayor ordered the work suspension and the lifting of the vehicle reduction scheme around 7:30 a.m.
