MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) near Zamboanga City has dissipated but three other weather systems will bring rain to much of the country, the state weather bureau said Wednesday.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the northeast monsoon (amihan) would bring rain over Northern Luzon; the tail-end of a cold front would bring showers over Southern and Central Luzon; and the trough of an LPA would affect Mindanao.

“Metro Manila, the Bicol region, Eastern Visayas, Mindanao and the provinces of Rizal, Aurora and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms,” Pagasa said.

The regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Ilocos and the rest of Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with light rains. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, it added.

Moderate to strong winds from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and the Visayas and coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas.
