House in Quezon City catches fire; residents safe

fire defaultMANILA, Philippines — A two-storey house caught fire in Barangay Teacher’s Village in Quezon City on Mon‎day morning.

An unattended cooking fire affected two families living at the house of Ruby del Rosario along Masinsinan Street, Superintendent Jesus Fernandez, Quezon City Fire Marshall, told INQUIRER.net by phone.

Fernandez said the fire started at 8:02 a.m. and reached first alarm at 8:13 a.m.

He said it was immediately put out at 8:28 a.m.

All family members were safely taken out of the burning house, he added.

Damage to property was estimated at P100,000.
