Taxi driver robbed of car, earnings by passenger in San Juan City

MANILA, Philippines — A taxi driver was robbed of his car and earnings by his passenger on Wednesday morning in San Juan City.

Lawrence Degorio of Bulacan St., San Isidro, Taytay, Rizal, told police that a man boarded the Joannian taxi (AWD-225) he was driving along Emerald Avenue, Pasig City. The suspect, whose name Degorio did not know, told him to drop him off at Barangay Addition Hills in San Juan.

PO3 Gener Antazo said that upon reaching Guevarra St. at the corner of Argonne St. in Barangay Maytunas, San Juan, at around 3:15 a.m., the suspect pointed a revolver at Degorio and declared the heist.

The suspect left Degorio on the street and took with him the car along with Degorio’s cell phone, driver’s license and his earnings of P3,300.
