CA denies plea for temporary protection order vs P11.2B megadam project in Iloilo

ILOILO CITY, Philippines – The Court of Appeals has denied a motion for a temporary protection order against the controversial P11.2-billion megadam project in Iloilo.

In the resolution promulgated by its 4th Division on Nov. 21, the appellate court denied the motion for a TEPO in relation to a petition for a writ of kalikasan filed by former Iloilo Rep. Augusto Syjuco Jr. against the National Irrigation Administration and other proponents of the Jalaur River Multipurpose Project II in Calinog town, Iloilo.
